what people want is to let themselves be weak. that's why they are so happy in love - they let themselves be led away, enchanted, they let themselves whimper. they let themselves say things that they would have never said otherwise. like, don't take away your hand and hold to me and let me cry on your lap and all that. they always get their humiliation for this weakness, but at least they had it, they let themselves go
