I saw two tomcats having a scrap yesterday. They'd fight for a few seconds then stand growling and eyeing each other for a minute or so - with occasional mutual wags of their tails. Quite the ballet.
Eventually one of them walked off at about 0.0001 mph while still watching the other. I think this meant it was a draw, as I realised neither could've turned their back on the other without getting pounced upon, hence turning and running would be considered defeat.
