As far as Iraq goes time is required to defeat the remnants of the Sadam's former regime as well as the terrorist cells that only wish to bring anarchy and misery to the vast majority of Iraq's citizens that only wish to create a civilized and democratic society for themselves. By the way, it is difficult, to say the least, to rebuild a country while the aforementioned destructive elements continue to cause death and destruction without care to women, children and peaceful men.
