I'm sure there's cultural differences in the ways males (and females) think (and mate) in different countries.

For instance, Margaret Mead was apparently asked to look into why American servicemen stationed in England in WW2 were getting on so famously with the nice English maidens. (See here... (http://www.phrases.org.uk/meanings/oversexed-overpaid-and-over-here.html)) The theory she came up with was that in the US it was the guys who made the advances and the gals who decided when enough was enough, while in the England it was the other way round.
