Hmmm - just checked. Ours is the Australian Magpie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australian_Magpie), which is quite a bit different to the European Magpie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magpie), which actually is part of the crow family.

You've nothing to match that in all of Russian literature, have ya?
