I meant it in the same way as you'd say "Did you grow up on a farm?" An "orchard" can also refer to a family's home and business here, same as a farm. And old B%W photos of life on an orchard look much the same as yours. :-)
No dachas here - we have "bach"s. (A specific NZ term for a holiday house, and at the beach, not in the country.)
Not many native animals in NZ - mostly birds and insects, but we've a few lizards, frogs and a couple of bats - our only native land mammals (I think.) More native mammals in the sea here than on land!
So our animals are nearly all imports.
I'd like to take more photos (of everything), but need to find the time to do so. (Only got a half-ways decent camera in the last year.) So, these two links...
