that's not a soda, that's strawberry milk cocktail. now that you ask me i wonder if there's any text in russian on thosу muck (that's how it's pronounced in russian) boxes? i'll check that. i had trouble sending soviet badges abroad some while ago, so i guess muck boxes might be considered precious artifacts by the customs too. anyway, what are you going to do with a big muck box written in russian, drool over it?
Yeah, i noticed russian custom officers are pretty facetious. I sent a little birthday package with framed pics in to a friend in moscow months ago - she is still desperately waiting for it, while i'm seriously suspect it's at this moment ornamenting some custom gard's dacha.
What am i to do with a muck box written in russian ? Um, have no idea - i just like to collect all kinds of strange and paradoxical things like this one i found in Praha:
A muck box written in russian would be just wonderful with this one. { Note: You may actually not send the big mac in the box ! }
Ah nice stuff, those artefacts are pretty trendy at this moment, quite pop-culturesque.
Maybe you could keep the big mac in the box after, and stuff a couple of those in ? =}
[ The guy who made Supersize me noticed big mac food is so full of chemical agents that it can remain ten days out in the sun without getting any rotten ]
An nice soviet watch that'd be the best, but i'm considering St Pete for this summer, it's an old dream. And i may find some there.
that's all lies about fastfood, dirty lies. if it doesn't rot then bacteria don't eat it right? but why other animals love fastfood then? sparrows, pigeons love fastfood! every living creature loves fastfood (even your president does) and some (many) even get hooked on it. yeah, i've been to petersburg, such a depressing place! but i didn't go to the hermitage because i didn't feel well that day. i hope i missed alot
btw, all of these are running in the general direction of mcdonald's:
Héhé, yeah, even Bulgarians (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4516265.stm) are missing their fast food so much that they're running back home.
And true, sadly, France is the the european country with the biggest implantation of Mac Donald's. Believe it or not, i personally even used to enter such unholy places once in a while though the only smell of it fortunately now makes me want to vomit my ass off.
I may go back sometime though, but that's only if they serve Frogsburgers or Filet'o'snails.
I'm so sad that customs wouldn't allow you to send those to me. :-( I have no idea why they would object to it, what-so-ever. Perhaps I'll just have to wait until I come to visit in the near future.
i'll have another try next time i need to send something; the person at the post office might have been incompetent. or you can take 'em when you come to moscow
I would really be so happy if one day they arrived for me in the mail! One of my best friend's sister is going to work for the American Embassy in Moscow in a few months, and she promised me that she would find a way to get me to come visit. I'm fascinated with Russia and I can't wait to actually step foot there for myself!
When I was a child in the 1980's, we were taught that the Russians were our enemies and that communism is the same thing as Satanism. I always knew in my heart that this was not true and it boggled my mind that as soon as the Berlin wall fell, Russia instantly became one of our country's greatest allies. Since, I've read a lot about Lenin and the Revolution and I know that their political ideals came from a deep resentment for what the Czars had been doing to your people for hundreds of years. Their theories were good hearted, but they didn't take into consideration people like Stalin being filled with pure evil and turning their system back to something similar to what the Czars had installed. But you know all of this. I am just fascinated with such a large country full of people just like the people over here who I was always told were my enemies, though I always knew they were my friends.
Do you mind if I add you to my friends list? I know I have little chance of meeting you in person, but you have an interesting way of looking at the world, and I love your photos, and like your words.
