hi! i'll answer it here just in case i need to refer to this information later. i use nikon d70 with standard kit 18-70 lens. I'm very pleased with it, though you need to use manual settings (like white balance, contrast etc) to get good pictures as preset modes really, really suck. but manual settings are easy to use, so it's not such a big problem. basically you configure your camera once the way you like it, and then make minor adjustments to suit the lighting environment
Thanks. There are so many cameras I don't know where to start. I've been looking at the Canon EOS350 "Digital Rebel". Its about $850($ US). So I've decided to ask my favorite LJ photograhers what they use. Once again...your photos are truly amazing. My favorites are the ones with rich browns-but low contrast...like the pigeons (http://www.grasshopper-toys.com/golub_luzha1.jpg) standing near puddles...This one for some reason.. (http://www.grasshopper-toys.com/kotyara8.jpg) really relaxes the eye.
