Hey, how's it going [livejournal.com profile] vriad_lee? Did you get your camera fixed / a new camera?

At least in American English, "Jap" is a derogatory word for a Japanese person. I'm not a big online person though, and maybe it's a common abbreviation for "Japanese" on the internet.

Oh yeah, I didn't think you were using to be offensive or anything like that. I thought maybe you didn't know the other meaning. Peace!

Oh, it's way fun! I'm in Washington DC for the big protest this weekend. I won't do anything to get arrested on Saturday, but we're planning some "direct action" on Monday (the kind where you intend to get arrested for, say, obstructing entrance to a public building). My buddy and I have been singing on street corners for change (and on subways for free), and just having a ton of fun everywhere we go! Livin' lawlessly.

We want the U.S. troops home from Iraq as soon as possible, and we want the government to stop cutting veterans' services (like closing veterans hospitals right when so many people are coming back and need them). Also, with the destruction hurricane Katrina brought, we're saying in a broad sense that our government really needs to get its priorities in order.
