yes...i named her after laika the dog who was sent into space on sputnik 2. i heard this amazing piece of music that used the tapes of laika's heartbeat....it was so sad. doesn't laika also mean "barker" as well as a breed of husky? my dog is a whippet and isn't supposed to bark much, but she sure does bark a lot! i figure i got what i asked for by naming her that.
