i saw pictures of my aunt before she got sick. when i checked the date, i saw that they were taken exactly one month ago. we all are sitting at her kitchen table, drinking tea and talking. she is gesticulating. she had just returned from america and must be telling us recollections from her stay there, because everybody is laughing. i take occasional self-shots. i look dotty in them, probably because i had just finished another project. everyone is smiling, although it didn't feel quite as good as it looks on the pictures (hello, portobello road). and now she lies in bed, white-faced, telling how she wants to die on any occasion you address her
18/01/06 update: she feels better now
