btw, the best way to deal with backfocus i've found so far is to use shallow depth of field, like f5. it makes everything blurry, which is much better than blurry subject+sharp background.
I don't get the joke that everyone else seems to have gotten, but I think the pictures are pretty great. The first one looks like he has the sun on a stick.
