It's startling what a shocker the size differential is in the last pic. She's such a little person.

Do people ever get angry with you over your taking their pictures?

sometimes, yes. but not now -- it's a neighbour, he actually asked to print some of the photos for him.

What a thoughtful little girl. I imagine her asking you very serious questions.

no, she was listening to two adults talking over her head and looking at the dogs running around. natasha gave her a peach and was giving her father advice on chair padding, and when they left and walked some distance, he turned around and cried 'thanks for the advice!' and then she turned around too and cried 'thanks for the peach!'
'too cute', i know - but true!

Lovely portraits, anyway.

I tried to reply to your last inquiry, the one with this picture :

In any case, yes that is a picture of an African Gray. But that one looks very stressed or, in the middle of molting or something.

Here are pictures of my Nalani :

And thank you for your condolences. We've had some pretty harsh rain and thunderstorms, and lots of fireworks. I'm certain where ever she is, she is terrified. Anyway, enough of that, life goes on while I try to find her. :\

Well, it depends on how you raise them, and they can be very particular. My son and I raised her from an egg and she was tender and affectionate. Now, the first time my Dad came near her, she screamed and flapped and carried on until he gave her some space. I'm sure she would have bitten if he had tried to touch her. Over the course of the next few months, he warmed up to her, and he could handle her.
