Рыжий вислоухий очень классный. Жаль, кобель, а то я бы побежала подбирать. С кобелем у меня свое чучело не уживется... :(

whah, look who's here!
yes, because i was actually shooting gnats swarming by the river, and this lady was lying on the opposite bank by the bridge, and she said 'young man (standard appelation to men in russia), shoot us??' there were two shabby girl friends with her. i took a few pictures, she said thank you, forgetting to ask for prints, of course. they always do.

Exactly what her body language said!

whah, look who's here!

Yeah - and catching up with your photos. Not much time for LJing of late, due to a death in the family (http://stillcarl.livejournal.com/272835.html). :-(

Been looking through lots of old photos though, so here's a WW2 one just for you...

Hitler trembled when he saw that photo, I'm sure!

Yes, he played the cornet and was a singer too, as well as a brass-band and choir conductor. Never professionally though.

However, he had his teeth out during the war, so as far as we can tell, his contribution to the war effort was making tea for the band. :-)

Rotten teeth removed in preperation to having them replaced with false teeth.

well, if it's not possible to play the cornet with one's teeth out, at least he certainly could conduct!
the photo is really hilarious, in that uniform they look like toy soldiers. you should scan and post more of those old photos.

'tis a marvelous photo, isn't it? Very 'Dad's Army'.

Hmm - I never thought about him conducting. But then, I guess you don't get promoted just because you have your teeth out!

I'm not the only owner of those photos, so can't really, which is partly why that one's not public.
