Where would they obtain the meat? From local farmers, a meat-market, or are they the farmers themselves come to market?

from everywhere, including imported meat, i guess. but mostly from big local farms, former kolkhozes. but certainly they are not farmers themselves. those who sell pig parts off their car hoods and roofs some saturdays and sundays are farmers though, i believe.
