I agree, but it can't be artificial. Let me know if you hear of any really positive stories :))

Actually, I have never knowingly published a canard in my life. Believe it or not but I am an honest journalist and I think my profession, at its best, is not only necessary but noble. I do not claim to be a Politkovskaya (God rest her courageous soul) but why do you think I am still keeping and objective and loving eye on Russia when most of the rats have long ago abandoned this sinking ship?

Yeah, me too, I was just kidding about the canards. But seriously, if you ever have any ideas about positive stories, I would be pleased to hear them. I guess one reason why I started to do my paintings was because I wanted to reflect the beauty I see here, which does not get reflected in all the bad and bleak news.

but i agree! it's a conspiracy of taking all the good things for granted and bitching about all the bad things... and then patriots come and add unjustified self-glorification, further aggravating things... well, and am i not bitching now?

That's exactly right. And the other problem is the editors, who turn down my positive ideas and only want to dig the dirt. But we won't give in, will we?
