I like the last two.

And you almost did a Three Worlds (http://images.google.com/images?q=escher%20%22three%20worlds%22) in one of these.

Fourth from the bottom - and no imagination required - just pattern matching.

I take it you do know of Escher?

no, never heard of him, but natasha has. when i have unlimited broadband, i'll be a better expert in fine arts than you before you have time to say 'Escher'!

I hope you're at least back on dialup...?

Escher's one of those artists you just assume everyone knows about because his images are sort of everywhere. Yet an artist I know had never heard of him. He's famous for impossible scenes and clever repetition, such as...

Well, just Google: http://images.google.com/images?q=escher

Natasha obviously has still much to teach you...

i don't value erudition, because i believe that that which is wide is inevitably shallow, since our mental resources are limited. at least, mine are very much so!

No erudition involved - you've just not been paying attention. You'll now see Escher everywhere - and probably in your next wander through a flea market...

"That's the whole point." Which was Escher's response when someone asked him if he got dizzy while drawing this (http://www.etciu.com/MUSEO/MV/DISEGNO/ESCHER/ESCHER7.gif)...

He didn't do many naughty nuggets though. The mind boggles at what he might've come up with if he did...
