Chuckle. "As thick as a four by two" is probably where its 'offens' comes from. Except this is New Zealand, and I've never heard any anti-Jewish slang, probably due to there being next to no Jews here. (Checks.) As in 0.17% (http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/jsource/Judaism/jewpop.html) of the population.

True. Though the only Jew of prominence here that I can think of was Robbie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dove-Myer_Robinson), who was much loved. Though I note that He was only the second Jewish mayor of Auckland City. 'Only'? You're making me suspicious now...

That's four inches by two inches. We went metric a few decades back, but the old measurements linger on.
