what really gets me in people is that they have already mostly figured it out. what gets me in myself is my panic modesty. for instance, when i wrote the first sentence, i thought that it could be interpreted as boasting. but do you know why's that? that's because most of what i read written by other people and myself looks like boasting. the key is to learn boasting gracefully. that's the only way. it's like eating: you could learn to do it gracefully, but you couldn't quit. when you believe in breathearians and other unlikely things scepticism has most brilliant prospects. my own scepticism is the wolf that always ends up being fed, no matter how far and high the cock of imagination flies.

not true!.. for example, sometimes they say 'i never imagined it could be so good' - in the movies.
