ok, i have a dumb question for you. at what age, generally, do russian kids start to drink alcohol? I mean, when it is acceptable for them to drink with family, etc...not partying with peers, but drinking in the home.
'drinking with the family' sounds strange on the russian soil somehow. i guess this is because russians do not have a culture of moderate drinking. otherwise, selling alcoholic beverages to people under 18 is prohibited by russian laws (it used to be 21 in the USSR).
yeah, that's interesting to me. here in the usa when i was growing up, it was normal to have parents who let kids drink--but now parents get sent to prison if they are caught! it seems really stupid to me. you have to be 21 to buy here. thanks for the info!
i know, it's fucking moronic. I don't think there should be any legal age. Maybe 12. I think that putting stigmas on things make them more attractive. that's just my opinion.
here in the usa, you can go into the military and die at age 18, vote at age 18, get married without parental permission at 18, and fuck legally at age 16--but you can't drink booze until you are 21! crazeee.
