Do market vendors have calls (or spiels or whatever they're called) in Russia? As a "Get your tights and salami here!" has a certain ring to it.
And are your male butchers, well, earthy, with their female customers? By tradition they are here, and I'm wondering if it's a world-wide trait with butchers. (Where 'butcher' means a seller of meat, we having butcher-shops here as apposed to markets, though they're getting rare as the supermarkets slowly do them in.)
well, of course, salespeople have all sorts of calls, nothing special though, like 'buy socks, young people!', although it's not really possible to reflect that in english: for example, this typical phrase is a special form of imperative mode, which, grammatically, is in the first-person plural. and then, 'socks' or anything else would be in a 'diminutive-hypocoristic' form. in short, it's not possible to reflect that in english. we don't have butchers. we have stands/stalls or small shops for different sorts of food, for example a diary stall, or a meat stall. there's no difference between them apart from the product type, and most are run by hired saleswomen.
